Everyone's got a theory on how the world began. But have you heard the one about the time all of humanity was almost exterminated due to the antics of a few renegade angels? No? Then perhaps you should read on.
Way back, when the world was still new and all, God called upon a group of heavenly beings called the Grigori to look after the world. Understandably, the angels became fascinated with their free-wheelin' charges—humans.
Soon the Grigori abandoned their divine pursuits, and fled heaven for earth. Afraid that his angels would lead us lesser beings astray, God and his Heavenly Council decided to get all smote-y. But just as the Almighty was set to destroy everything with a Great Flood, one human—a scribe named Enoch—was brave enough to speak up. With a promise that Enoch would capture the rogue Grigori, God decided to delay his wrath for the time being.
And so Enoch set out on a mission to save the world, and now, with the release of El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metratron, you can join him. With the assistance of a team of Archangels, players navigate Enoch through twelve levels, collecting weapons and battling enemies who stand in the way of his divine duty.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is available in the US on 8/16 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360—but you for those of you who can't wait, the demo is live now. Head here to start your mission.
