The Yishu 6-Foot Surge Protector Power Strip converts a single wall outlet into 12 plug points. AC outlets make up 8 of those, arranged on the top and two sides of a body about the size of a hardcover book. The remaining 4 are USB ports, split into 3 USB-A and 1 USB-C, arranged along the front edge. A flat 45° plug at the wall end keeps the connection low-profile enough to fit behind a bed frame, a couch, or a bookshelf, even with a 6-foot cord. Surge protection is rated at 600 joules.

The Yishu 6-Foot Surge Protector Power Strip is currently $10 on Amazon for a 17% discount.

An easy way to protect your electronics during storms and blackouts

The flat plug at the end of the 6-foot cord is the main practical difference from a basic power strip. Most cords end in a bulky right-angle plug that sticks out about an inch from the outlet. The Yishu’s flat plug takes up less than a quarter inch off the wall. That means the strip can go behind a couch pushed flush against the drywall, under a bed frame with no clearance underneath, or in the gap between a nightstand and the wall.

The strip’s 12 total plug points help reduce the daisy-chain problem you get with 6-outlet strips. Instead of plugging a second strip into the first to get more outlets, the Yishu supports a full home-office or entertainment-center setup off a single wall socket. The 8 AC outlets fit a TV, a receiver, a game console, a streaming stick, a lamp, a router, and two phone chargers, leaving two slots available.

The front of the Yishu features a single USB-C port, which provides a major advantage over the older 8-outlet version of this product. When you use a USB-C cable to plug in your device, you can skip a wall adapter, which saves you from having to use an AC outlet. This USB-C port can deliver 15 watts of power to your device, so it charges as fast as if you were using a wall charger. There are three additional USB-A ports next to the USB-C port. Each of these provides 5V/2.4A, making them suitable for charging many older-style devices.

ETL, RoHS, and FCC certifications back Yishu’s electrical safety compliance. The strip’s internal protection includes overload, short-circuit, over-current, over-voltage, and overheating cutoffs. Housing is 1382°F flame-retardant plastic. Mounting keyhole slots on the back also lets you attach the strip to a wall, desk, or the back of a nightstand with two screws.

A 12-way layout with USB-C fits a full home office, entertainment center, or bedroom setup from a single wall outlet. At under $10, the Yishu is now one of the cheaper 12-way USB-C strips in this format. Every capacity in the Yishu lineup is discounted equally right now.
