Lucasarts Totally Pissed Over Wii MotionPlus Comment by: EmpressInYellow Nominated by: cheez

With the original Wii-mote, the controls were only precise enough to allow for broad gestures and hand movements. Apparently, the Wii MotionPlus's 1:1 control is so precise, it can actually detect when you're giving 3rd party developers the finger.

On the Road to PAX Comment by: fourzerotwo Nominated by: everybest

I think we all know how these sorts of trips end. Brian gets dysentery. You'll lose two bison attempting to ford the North Skunk river crossing. And just before you reach PAX you'll all drown to death attempting to river raft your caravan of cars the rest of the way. That said, I'll take a plane and meet you in Seattle.

Halo 3 Beats Out GTA IV, Portal, Wii Fit For Edge Innovation Award Comment by: kainzero Nominated by: CarbonFalcon

Halo 3 is definitely innovative. Throughout 3 games, they've managed to nerf and weaken weapons like the pistol and the BR and fall damage and the plasma pistol combo and SOMEHOW explain it in the story. That's skills right there.

Microsoft's European Failure Is The Mediterranean's Fault Comment by: Vidunder Nominated by:

Well, we have other things to do. But seriously, here in Italy for example, there's a huge mass of nerds who own multiple consoles. Consoles are not a problem, I think. The main issue is games. I know people who own X360, PS3 and Wii but own just one or two games for each system. I'm one of them. I own X360 and Wii, and own just ONE game for 360 and 2 games for Wii. Why? Because they're expensive and before spending €50 or so I want to be extra sure that the game complies to my tastes and it's worth all that money. Portables are different, for example. Games are cheap, good and provide the same amount of hours of fun of a normal game. I own a PSP and a DS and like 20 games for PSP and 10 games for DS. It's just like that. I don't like how Microsoft tries to always blame the others for their half-failures (or almost total failures, like Xbox). People are ready to buy stuff. In Italy (and in Mediterranean Europe in general) home computers like Commodore 64 or Amiga had a devastating success. This means that the right hardware and the right software CAN make the difference here and can conquer our hearts (and wallets). If Microsoft couldn't... well, too bad for you. Try harder. Or maybe... with a more country-specific target? Oh and localize more games too. Mediterraneans can't speak English very well ;)
