Fusion Genesis is meant to be a mix of a twin-stick shooter and a massively mulitplayer online game. But it felt more like a space combat game than an MMO.
The Starfire folks, all ex Rare developers, explain that the game pulls in friends to populate your games so that you're never gunning against just console-controlled enemies.

It's a fun little twin-stick shooter, but it was hard to get a sense of what all was going on without having a lot more time with it.
