Here's a new Kickstarter game that might be worth some attention: Blackmore, an adventure game by some of the folks behind the old Konami adventure game, Snatcher. David Hayter's in there, too.
The game is called Blackmore, and they want $200,000 to bring it to life. The summary, via Kickstarter:
Blackmore is a Japanese adventure game that takes the best of the classic adventure genre, including awesome Japanese art, clever puzzles and great storytelling and combines them into an all-new game in a rich, immersive isometric environment that will keep players on the edge of their seats.
Helming the project is Jeremy Blaustein, a games industry vet whose name you might not recognize, but whose contributions are hard to avoid—he's done localization work for Snatcher, Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill, and many more games, including Suikoden II, otherwise known as the greatest video game ever made. This project sounds neat, too—check out the Kickstarter for more details.
