You may have seen these images before, but not armed with this knowledge.
Turns out that those six pieces of character art that Capcom provided to sites for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 show how the characters will look in the game when rendered on Capcom's in-house graphics engine MT Framework, the developer says.
While Capcom tells Kotaku that the characters are in-game models, these static images don't yet include shaders or the dynamic lighting and they are all, of course, works in progress.

Another interesting note, Capcom tells us that the characters seen in the trailer are also in-game models, though with a "cinematic treatment."
