A Final Fantasy X Comparison: HD vs. SD

While the Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster won’t be out in the West until March, it hit Japanese shelves last month. So join me as I dust off my old PS2 and compare just how much better Final Fantasy X looks on the PS3 with its new HD coat of paint.

[*Note: The PS2 version I used in this video was the Japanese release of Final Fantasy X: International.]

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster was released in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on December 26, 2013. It will out be in North America on March 18, 2014 and Europe on March 21, 2014.

Why does this game deserve an HD upgrade? FFX has very little replayability and is by far one of the shortest FF games. A lot of the game is just FMV sequences and those look the same, so what was the point of this?

People that pick this up are just giving Square more reason to sacrifice gameplay for pretty visuals and FMV sequences.
