A Controller Fit For God

A typical game controller might have buttons with shapes or letters, but a controller suited for The Man Upstairs has way more: revolution, flood, epidemic — you name it.

Russian artist Vadim Fishkin created this Super Nintendo pad meets Sony DualShock controller. The directional pad has longitude and latitude, and the PlayStation-style buttons read, "height", "stop", "time" and "delete". Where the start and selection should be, there are a wide array of choices. It is possible to toggle between "humans", "animals" and "plants".

Fishkin created the work between 2006 and 2007 (as well as a similar-styled TV remote), but it is currently on exhibit in London at the Frieze Art Fair.
