A double-barreled shotgun can make or break a first-person shooter, so I'm always excited when I see someone taking a critical look at the iconic weapon. I saw this short history of the gun's role in and outside of gaming pop up on r/games this morning. It's not quite as interesting or comprehensive as I would've hoped, but still gives a good nostalgia trip for anyone who remembers playing games like Doom and—*brushes off single tear*—Redneck Rampage.
Also: four-barreled shotguns? More of those please.
