My girlfriend was in Japan a month ago and while I love Gunpla (and I do have a million and a half kits), I always considered it to be something kinda niche... Until I saw that it’s massively popular in Japan, and you can probably spot kits for sale even in Shrines and Temples. Blew my mind.

She also got me quite a few P-Bandai / Gundam Base limited kits, which I would totally recommend for some people looking for something a little more exclusive to build, the HG Unicorn Perfectibility is beautiful, and there is even a Painting Version that comes all clear/white so it’s easier to do what you want with it.
