I believe that one way to make a good D&D movie is maybe to just adapt stuff like the Drizzit or Ring of Winter series. Or hell, just adapt the modules into feature-length films. I could see a film adaptation of Curse of Strahd.

But really, if they’re gonna make a D&D movie, Drizzit is the face of the game and the bane of every DM and PC who had a party member that was a Chaotic Good/Chaotic Neutral Drow Ranger/Rogue.
