After years of teases, it's finally official: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is coming to the 3DS this spring.
Nintendo announced the news this afternoon during a Nintendo Direct presentation, promising an upcoming remake of the surreal Zelda game in the style of Ocarina of Time 3DS. This comes in the wake of many, many fan requests for a 3D remake of Majora's Mask, exacerbated by some light teasing from the folks behind Zelda, who even stuck a cheeky reference in last year's Link Between Worlds.
At E3 this year, Zelda boss Eiji Aonuma all but promised that Majora's Mask 3D was coming. Now it's official.

Majora's Mask, a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time, was originally released for the Nintendo 64 back in 2000. Fun fact: It's also Kotaku editor Stephen Totilo's favorite game ever.
