The Beatles: Rock Band Gets Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper's & Never Before Heard AudioS

That The Beatles: Rock Band will eventually be adding two of The Beatles' most acclaimed albums shouldn't come as a surprise. Most of us are expecting the entirety of The Beatles' catalog to hit the game. But coming they are.

The New York Times confirms the two albums will follow the already announced Abbey Road as downloadable content in a brilliant article on MTV Games and Harmonix's upcoming music game. It also makes mention of a few tracks that will be included that haven't been announced through official channels.

That includes songs like "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," "Hey Bulldog," and "I'm Looking Through You," songs which may not be as popular as, say, "Come Together" but rank in the "fun to play" category.

Other audio treats that will be featured in The Beatles: Rock Band is studio chatter between various Beatles and George Martin, rerecorded by son Giles Martin. That will play alongside sounds of the band tuning up in between songs, something that should add a level of intimacy to the experience.

The NYT feature is a fascinating read, touching on all aspects of the game's development and design. We'd highly recommend reading it in its entirety.
