Konami Digital Entertainment is packing more than 3.500 cards into Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Tagforce 4, the next version of the popular card battling series for the PlayStation Portable.
I've been following the cartoon series on and off for a few years now, but Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's is where I stopped. The latest series hasn't so much jumped the shark as it has run over the shark repeatedly, combining card-dueling with motorcycle racing for some reason I cannot comprehend. Still, the games tend to focus on what made the series great - the card dueling - and it looks like Tagforce 4 is following suit in a big way. With a card list larger than any Yu-Gi-Oh game to date, it's sure to be a hit with members of the video game press who get a perverse joy from lording things over their teenage nephews. Not that I know any of those.
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Tagforce 4 should be hitting the Sony PSP in November.
