Despite the best efforts of publishers and their art teams (or clients), a video game collection can rarely look as impressive as a good stack of books. Which is why, if you're concerned about that sort of thing, it's a good idea to print off your own custom covers, which often look waaaaaay better than the real deal.
I showcased the custom cover artwork of NeoGAF members back in 2011, but now that the current generation is drawing to a close, I figured it'd be a good time to revisit it, since we're just about done buying games for the 360 and PS3 (though note there are also covers for other systems, like the PC, Vita and Wii).
They may not be to everybody's tastes, but they're certainly to mine, losing all the fluff that you as a consumer don't need (legal info, etc) while putting the game's art front and centre.
