Hello Kotaku friends, and welcome to a new week. Did you have a good Super Bowl Sunday? I did. I thought that the game was pretty good if you were a fan of either of the teams (I wasn't), and the ads were pretty much totally sub-par. Other than the one above.
Welcome to the open thread! Here, as always, are some links from around the web for your conversation-starting pleasure.
- "The Ten Best Commercials of the 2012 Super Bowl" - Can't say I disagree with any of these, though I thought that Clint Eastwood trailer was kind of nonsensical. My favorite was the workout dog.
- "Zygote," a very cool-looking upcoming graphic novel by Harvey James - Groovy.
- "Perhaps the most well-researched map ever of The Hunger Games‘ Panem" - [Daily thing related to The Hunger Games
- The British government rejects a pardon request for Alan Turing - Sigh.
- Michelle Rodriguez doesn't give a shit about being typecast - "I did that to myself."
- Oscar Peterson with Clark Terry playing "Brotherhood of Man" - This video is a neat way of sharing music on vinyl, and dear god is it swinging.
