The writing was on the wall when Wii Sports Resort dropped off Nintendo's release schedule, but now there's further fuel being poured on the "MotionPlus delayed" fire, courtesy of IGN's Wii podcast.
According to the team, who are often aware of Nintendo-related events well before their official announcement, "Nintendo is internally struggling with Wii MotionPlus, trying to figure out a few hiccups" which would delay the release of the peripheral past its original June release date.
In addition to the hardware delays, it was also rumoured that Wii Sports Resort would be pushed back along with it - which of course checks out with the game's retail schedule disappearance - and at the same time have its roster of ten sports reduced to eight.
No official word on this from Nintendo as of yet, so make of it what you will.
