Do not kiss snapping turtles. I repeat. Do. Not. Because kissing snapping turtles will end in tears. Don't believe me? Well, ask this dude.

Recently, a gentleman in suit reportedly tried to give a goodbye kiss to what's apparently an alligator snapping turtle.

As noted on TTmop, one of China's most popular sites, here's how things went down:

Ouch! Things went down badly.

According to Shanghai Daily, the man was attempting to release the dangerous reptile, which is not native to China. Releasing it is actually harmful to the country's ecosystem.

Online in China, net users jokingly called this one steamy goodbye kiss.

The poor liberator obviously needed medical attention, but is apparently expected to recover. (And we hope the turtle is okay, too!)

So, please, don't pick up strange animals and definitely don't try to make out with them.
