“When you introduce yourself as a small streamer or label yourself that way, you’re pointing out something that’s not a strong suit,” streamer MegKaylee said during TwitchCon’s “Things Not To Say” panel, referencing the popular #supportsmallstreamers movement in which people on Twitch position themselves as “small” first and sometimes foremost. “It makes it seem like you have to argue for your content or argue why it’s good rather than just outright displaying it.” She and the rest of the panel advised describing what you’re about—say, playing simulation games or community interaction—instead.
