On March 18 in Kosai City in Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture, eyewitnesses apparently spotted something unusual.
A “large creature about four to five meters long” was supposedly seen swimming near the shore. The creature is light brown in color.
A similar creature was seen further offshore, and it is possible that this is a seal that’s lost its way in the tide. However, those sailing in the area have been warned to be careful, reported the Shizuoka Shimbun
“I was fueling my boat, when I suddenly saw this huge shape swimming in the water,” one eyewitness told the paper. “It’s the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this.”
