What Are Your Summer Gaming Plans?

Staring into the abyss known as the videogame backlog and having it stare right back—that seems like the perfect way to spend a summer, don’t you think?

That time will soon be upon us once more. The days will be longer, we may have more time to get together with friends, and we may actually play more games. As my backlog has no end in sight, I’ll be spending some time trying to finish at least two games from this awesome year for games we call 2017.

Yakuza 0 and Persona 5 are the ones I need to finish. Yo-kai Watch 2, as well. I’m looking forward to nightly multiplayer rituals with my sister as we battle it out in Puyo Puyo Tetris. Maybe I’ll also play Ever Oasis. “But that’s not a backlogged title!” I can hear some of you exclaim. You’d be right. I have no follow up for that. Also, no shame.

Anyway, those are my plans for summer, Kotakuites. What are your tentative gaming plans looking like for the next three months? Looking forward to Splatoon 2, Arms, or some other game that’s on the horizon? Will you be chipping away at your backlog or playing Overwatch with your friends? Or do you have a yearly summer gaming tradition to play a favorite game? Whatever it is, I’d love to hear all about it!
