Slightly Mad Studios is serious about drifting in the upcoming Need for Speed Shift, tapping champion drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr, to make sure everything feels just right.
Vaughn, commonly referred to as JR in racing circles, is a world-class drifter, which sounds an awful lot like a guy who just moves around from place to place, perhaps solving crimes along the way. Instead, he drifts in his car, having bested not only the top American drifting talents, but coming out on top in several Japanese competitions as well, and the Japanese take their drifting very seriously. Sometimes they don’t come home for months.
