What could be more fun than sitting on your couch taking on giant insects and aliens with more than 300 different weapons in Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon? I don't know, but here's a shot of the game's split-screen co-op.
D3Publisher and developer Vicious Cycle's follow-up to Earth Defense Force 2017 sees the return of that game's co-op split-screen gameplay, which worked incredibly well with the series' uncomplicated gameplay mechanics. You have a gun. Shoot things. What could be simpler?
Split-screen co-op is joined this time around by online co-op, allowing players to jump in and out of each other's campaigns at will, along with a six-player survival mode that sees teams taking on hordes of gigantic foes.
Earth Defense Force 2017 was stupid fun at its finest. We'll see if Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon follows sit this spring.
