Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn Gets Ubisoft Treatment

Ubisoft and Paramount Digital Entertainment have announced that the upcoming motion capture 3D-film adapted from the crazy-popular Tintin series is getting its own game.

Stephen Spielberg is directing the film and, according to the press release, is directly involved along with producers Peter Jackson and Kathleen Kennedy in crafting the tie-in game. It's being developed by Ubisoft's Montpellier study and will hit shelves the same day as the game — December 23, 2011. No word yet on what kind of game it will be or on which consoles it'll be on, but I'm betting on a release for everything but your dishwasher.

For those of you who have no idea who Tintin is, study up. It was like the best cartoon I ever ditched school to watch next to Sailor Moon. Plus, Daniel Craig is in the upcoming film as the bad guy pirate; what's not to like?
