Thanksgiving means family. But for Pikachu, it means being dragged through Manhattan as an inflatable balloon. And this year he'll be accompanied by some Pocket Monster cohorts.

According to MSNBC, Pikachu will be joined in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade by Reshiram and Zekrom from the Pokeémon Black and White. The balloons will be 14 feet tall and pulled by handlers decked out in black and white duds.

Pikachu has participated in the parade since 2001, and this year marks the character's tenth year in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. A new Pikachu balloon was introduced in 2006 and stood 53.5 feet high, 36.9 feet wide and 40.8 feet long. It took 15,000 cubic feet of helium to fill that sucker! The first balloon, "Flying Pikachu", was used until 2005.

This year, Pikachu is probably excited to have some company. Sometimes it's hard being the only inflatable Pocket Monster!
