This Sushi Looks Disgusting, Colorful

Maguro? Check. Salmon? Check. Ikura? Check. Normal colors? Um....

Here's a sushi combo platter that looks anything but typical. Spotted in China by Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, who also looks anything but typical, the image went viral in Japan.

Some said the colorful sushi looked unappetizing, while others wondered if it was safe to eat.

It's amazing how colors, colors that we perceive as natural or unnatural, can impact our desire to eat. Note that image does look processed—that could either be a crap camera phone or Photoshop trickery.
