This Hi-Definition JRPG Looks...Yeah

Ungh. Yes, I know this game uses a hand-drawn style, and, yes, I know there's only a few seconds of gameplay, but damn. Jump to the 1:40 mark to see what I'm talking about.

Revealed earlier this year, Tokitowa combines JRPG elements with, wait for it, third-person shooter play (think action RPG). Parts of the game will have a fixed point-of-view, while other parts won't.

Tokitowa claims to be the first "HD animation RPG" on the PlayStation 3. It'll be out this fall in Japan.

I don't know why people are bitching about the animations when three of the most popular western RPGs are Skyrim, and the two current Fallout games, all three of which have horrendously bad animation far worse than what we're seeing here. But no, this one looks like an anime series so it gets branded as shit or whatever.

Personally, I actually understand that they're going for a look like a real anime series so I'm not going to be completely retarded and complain about how it looks like the thing that it's being created to be.

The music sounds good and the battle system seems pretty neat too.
