It's December, but Square Enix, the Tokyo-based company behind Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, is looking at rough times.

The company is pushing back the PS3 release of massively multiplayer online role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV as well as action role-playing game Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Both titles, along with another Tomb Raider reboot, are some of the company's big upcoming titles. These delays caused Square Enix to slash its profit forecast by over 90 percent.

With games like Final Fantasy XIII (pictured), Final Fantasy XIV and Dragon Quest IX (in the West), this year seemed to be a banner one for Square Enix. But delays, underperforming titles and a panned MMORPG don't exactly help.
