There's a New Dragon Ball Z Game

Currently unnamed, a new Dragon Ball Z is headed for the PS3 and Xbox 360 this fall. According to Japanese reports from last week, Namco Bandai is readying a new title called Dragon Ball Game Project Age 2011, which sounds like a temporary title. That game will center around 3D fighting. [Eurogamer]

Oooooh yeah that! guess they FINALLY decided to port it. Let me fill y'all in.

Its called Dragon Ball (Z): Zenkai Battle Royale. it came out in arcades back in feburary 2011 but has been having on-location testing since 2010. It features a similar fighting system to that of Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team so get used to that game first.

It is using Namco's own PS3-based System 357 hardware (similar to how Super DragonBall Z ran on the PS2-based System 246 hardware), meaning an eventual home port for PS3/360 was bound to be announced sooner or later.

Also its the first commecrial game to be using GGPO! what is that? Well its a netcode that is meant specifically to address the need of lightning quick response times in the fighting game genre. Fans the world over have been petitioning the likes of Capcom, Namco, and Aksys to get GGPO into their fighting game releases for years now. While it may be arcade at the moment, it is great to see that Namco-Bandai has finally listened to our pleas.
