Sacred 3 was quietly released for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC this week, which is never a good sign. Is there more to the shallow sequel than dashed hopes?
The first two Sacred games, developed by the now defunct Ascaron, were intense Diablo-esque action role-playing games filled with enemies to click, loot to sift through and open areas to explore. Keen Games' Sacred 3 is nothing like that, which has fans of the series throwing fits.
I am a fan of the series, but I am on powerful pain medication right now, so we'll see if fits ensue.
Update: Stream is over. Highlights include pausing to eat Pop Tarts, someone telling me the first hour of the game is a tutorial and I didn't play enough, and switching to a Barbie game for the last 20 minutes.
