The Next Ghostbusters Game Is A Throwback

Last year's Ghostbusters: The Video Game was practically Ghostbusters 3, a reunion of the main cast from the 1980s movies in virtual form. The next one is more like a Gauntlet or Robotron sequel.

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime will be a download-only four-player cooperative action game, according to a USA Today story about the game. Sanctum of Slime won't feature voices from the movies' stars and seems to be more of a fast-action arcade shooter, as opposed to the previous games' more cinematic and story-centric third-person shooter.

The game will be downloadable for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. It's scheduled for a spring release.
