The History Of Rockstar Is A $450 Library

Rockstar, the developer network behind games like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, will be releasing a book collection next month cataloguing their history and artworks. It comes in three enormous hardcover tomes, and costs $450.

The three books, collected in a single volume, will feature "original illustrations, wireframes, production stills, product shots, ads, inspiration and candids of the company's games", with an accompanying DVD containing even more content.

Rockstar's designers have worked with the book's publishers on the layout of the books, and much of the content has never before been seen outside of the developer's offices.

At a recommended retail price of $450/£310/€352, it's not going to be for everyone, but then, this is Rockstar. They were hardly going to do things by halves, were they? Promisingly, however, the collection's Amazon page has a price more suitable for normal humans.
