The Highlander Game Doesn't Want To Live Forever

The Highlander game in development at Widescreen Games - which, admittedly, we weren't that excited about - has been cancelled.

While no exact reason has been given for the game's shutdown, it's probably got something to do with the fact it was originally being published by Eidos, who were in 2009 picked up by Square Enix, meaning this may have been a casualty of that move.

But hey, maybe not. Maybe Square Enix looked at the franchise, realised its swords weren't big enough, its heroes were too coarse and its theme song just too damn awesome for them to handle.

It was canceled because they found someone else made a highlander game... there can only be one.
