After taking the stage as Tenacious D's drummer at BlizzCon 2010, Dave Grohl returns with his own damn band to play out BlizzCon 2011.
Blizzard has a way with securing exciting musical acts to close out its yearly celebration of all things it. In 2009 Ozzy found the convention to be fucking amazing, and last year Jack Black and Kyle Gass tore the roof off the Anaheim Convention Center with pure rock goodness.
And now we have the Foo Fighters, who couldn't be more excited to play to hordes (and alliances) of PC gaming fans.
"We're pretty sure that in the future, music historians will look back at BlizzCon 2011 as the unquestionable pinnacle of Foo Fighters' long and illustrious career," said Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters founder and frontman. "We look forward to living up to that prediction by bringing the Horde and Alliance together to rock the hell out of Anaheim next month."
For those of you playing along at home, the concert will be broadcast via the BlizzCon 2011 pay-per-view live stream. I'll be the guy standing up towards the front being annoyingly tall.
