A pair of brothers tries to find their place in a town torn apart by the psychic influence of their tortured mother in F.E.A.R. 3, sure to be the feel-good game of the year.
With talent like Halloween's John Carpenter and 30 Days of Night's Steve Niles hammering out the storyline for the third installment of the F.E.A.R. saga, how can this not be an uplifting tale of family and redemption. They might as well have set the trailer to Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill."
For those not keeping score at home, in the first F.E.A.R. you played the Point Man, who turns out to be Alma's son, tasked with eliminating Paxton Fettel, also Alma's son.
In F.E.A.R. 2, protagonist Michael Becket and Alma tangle, resulting in complications that I won't spoil.
In F.E.A.R. 3, Point Man and a seemingly resurrected Fettel get to know each other, while trying to figure out what to do about mom.
So yeah, definitely "Solsbury Hill."
F.E.A.R. 3 will be packing its bags and coming home on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on May 24.
