Derek Weselake is a freelance concept artist and illustrator who works in both the video game and film industries.

One of his specialiteis is environment design, and I particulalry dig his takes on a future city: it’s nice seeing something that sits a little more realistically between the two stereotypes of “grimy cyberpunk” and “glistening utopia”.

You can see more of Derek’s work at his personal site and ArtStation page.

Fine Art is a celebration of the work of video game artists, showcasing the best of both their professional and personal portfolios. If you’re in the business and have some concept, environment, promotional or character art you’d like to share, drop us a line!
