Yesterday in Beijing, a group of men dressed as Spartans from 300 appeared in the Sanlitun shopping district for a publicity stunt. Then, the cops showed up and shut them down.
According to The Nanfang, the cosplayers were promoting a Beijing-based salad delivery service called Sweetie Salad and were going to different parts of the city.

When the Spartans got to Sanlitun, police repeatedly warned the PR warriors to stop because the publicity stunt was disturbing public order.

The cosplayers, apparently, did not, and People’s Daily reports that the men were taken away and detained. Chinese news agency Xinhua, however, reports that the “near-naked foreigners” were “dispersed” by Beijing police.

Still trying to figure out why Sweetie Salad pulled this stunt. Because, tonight we dine in hell? Make that, jail.
