Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax is a fighting game that takes many of the most popular light novel characters (which have subsequently appeared in popular anime and manga) and has them battle it out. But I have to say my favorite part of the game isn't the fighting, it's the character sprites.

We've already looked at the cast of Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax and where they have come from; but seeing them in sprite form is a pleasure, to say the least. Check out the gallery below to see them in all their pixelated glory.

Oh, and if you want pixel art icons of the cast, you can get them here—along with some fun redesigns of the characters featuring a more “spherical” shape.

Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax was released in Japan for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on November 13, 2014. There is currently no word on an international release.
