Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows is one of the best-looking open-world video games ever made. This helps make exploring this large and very pretty world, which you can do as either the sneaky Naoe or the powerful Yasuke, a real treat. Yeah, there’s some Ubisoft jank and slop in here, but for the most part, Shadows is a well-made, often quiet, RPG that offers many ways to tackle its various quests and challenges. And even better, you don’t need any knowledge of the previous games to enjoy it. — Zack Zwiezen
