Cocoon might be one the best puzzle games of the last decade, stripping away everything that isn’t needed to create a pure puzzler that is a treat to experience. There’s no crafting, side quests or superfluous NPC conversations here. It’s just a top-down, laser-focused puzzle game that is all meat and no fat; a rarity in today’s era of overstuffed games. Each hour layers on just a little bit more, so you never get bored and puzzles never feel stale. Hopping in and out of different worlds to solve simple problems never failed to make me feel really smart, even if sometimes I had to stop and let my brain cool down. — Ethan Gach
