Justice Monsters Five, the game that’s supposedly wildly popular in the fictional world of Final Fantasy XV, is now available as a downloadable free-to-play mobile game for iOS and Android.
From what I’ve played so far, Justice Monsters Five is a higher-end collectible hero game with a pinball twist. Elementally attuned enemies appear on te board and the player must launch members of their disc-based team at them. Think a more action-oriented Puzzle and Dragons, or a fresh spin on those character flinging games. Any of those games where you collect, evolve and enhance collectible units to create a team of air, water, fire, light, dark and earth critters.
It’s the sort of game with enough charm and polish it could have been released on its own to modest success, only with Final Fantasy XV stapled onto it awkwardly. I suppose it is technically the standalone mobile version of the Final Fantasy XV mini-game, something we can play until late November. Then we’ll be able to play as fantasy people playing the same game, only without the microtransactions (I hope).
Justice Monsters Five is now available as a free download on iTunes and Google Play from Square Enix. Grab it, see how you like it. As long as you don’t expect much Final Fantasy XV and can resist spending all of your money on random chances at rare creatures, you’ll be fine.
