Alright Nintendo fans lay it on me. How is the Wii U going to succeed? I'm not trolling. I'm sincerely baffled. The only thing I can think of that their first party games will keep them afloat.

Though my perception is that Nintendo wants us to think of the Wii U as a third party friendly hardcore game console, but I don't see that happening.

I'm also not sure that the casual market is going to come back. With so much confusion in the mainstream media over whether the Wii U is a new console or merely a new peripheral I'm betting that a lot of mom's and dad's are going to look at the Wii U and think, "I've already that and I'm over it".

So what am I missing?

Given the success of the original Wii I know it's wise not to count Nintendo out, but really...I just don't get how Nintendo is going to pull this one off.
