I got a message from a reader the other day. He noticed that I write a lot of articles about Zelda games (like this one and this one, both about the new Zelda, Skyward Sword). He needed my help.

Well, here ya go! The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time is coming to the 3DS with glasses-free 3D and better graphics.

French gaming site Le Mag Jeux Video got pictures of what appear to be the official premiums for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D; it includes a wooden (or wood-patterned) pen and a plastic ocarina with the holes identified by their note. I had no idea an ocarina looked like a blue athletic cup.

Heather in St. Louis appears to be obsessed with playing the ocarina. She's got a hit YouTube channel full of dozens of videos of her playing Zelda songs, along with Donkey Kong songs, Final Fantasy songs, and even a Nelly song. (She manages to have a different ocarina in just about every other one of these videos.)

The still-undated remake of The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time for the Nintendo 3DS looks better and has a better inventory system — an upgrade that shouldn't be underestimated. But don't expect new content.

We get a new Zelda this fall, as Link gets a train, a phantom friend to do some of his dirty work and a new species of animal to enrage. This week, we played more.
