God of War took home Game of the Year at the DICE Awards in Las Vegas last night, along with a whole bunch of other awards. Celeste got best indie, while Florence was voted the best portable game. Interestingly, only one award—Outstanding Technical Achievement—for Red Dead Redemption 2.
By the sounds of it, the real winner of tonight’s DICE Awards is the silverware, which just will not shut up.
Looks like no one can keep Hideo Kojima from the next big gaming awards show. The newly-independent Metal Gear mastermind is slated to be inducted to the AIAS Hall of Fame at the DICE Awards on February 18. No word on livestreaming yet. Presenting will be Kojima’s old Silent Hills partner Guillermo Del Toro.
