Here we go—Destiny 2's Forsaken is now live, and I’m returning to the game for the first time in nearly a year. Or, as the kids like to call it, I’m “back on my bullshit.” We’ll have plenty of coverage on all the new stuff in the coming days.

When Destiny 2 was originally released on consoles in South Korea back in September 2017, the game was not localized. Today, however, a new patch has localized the entire game, retitling it Destiny Guardians. [Thanks, Sang!]

Bungie has posted patch notes for Destiny 2's big 2.0 update, which is being applied today. There’s too much for me to summarize here, but, hooray one-shot shoulder charge. The developers have also gone into further detail about the year to come, and published a hefty new roadmap.

Now playing

Bungie has a new trailer showing the exotics that will be added to Destiny 2 in the Forsaken expansion. The studio apparently took all the criticism of the game’s existing arsenal to heart, because now it’s adding a bow that lets you see through walls and boots that reflect projectiles among other things.

A tweet from Bungie last night indicates that Destiny 2's gnarly Whisper of the Worm quest is now temporarily closed, and that it’ll return “next week.” I’ve asked Activision if they can clarify the precise timing. For now, safe bet is it’ll return this coming weekend. I’ll be there when it does.
