Starting out as a series of shooters recreating battles from across history, Call of Duty has grown to be one of the most popular shooters of all time. The latest entries in the franchise have explored modern military conflicts, as well as futuristic battles set in space. The most recent release, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, hit consoles and PC in November 2023.
