Black Rock Studios, the developers behind explosive racer Split/Second, have been shut down by owners Disney. Those laid off have already formed two new studios, called Roundcube Entertainment and ShortRound Games. [Eurogamer]
Fuck split/second, it stole a huge portion of the audience from one of the most underrated racing games of all time: Blur.
If you haven't played blur, you can pick it up for about £10/$15 and it's basically mario kart but with licensed vehicles on pretty tracks. It's a party game similar to mario kart, the kind of thing you really need to split screen.
Now to head to Activision HQ to pick up my pay cheque.
