There Are Tiny People Living Amongst Our Oreos

There are a few Twitter accounts that can delight you on a daily basis. This is one of them.

Welcome to the world of Tatsuya Tanaka. The Kagoshima-based art director uploads daily images of his "miniature calendar," featuring HO-scale model train figurines with real world objects like cookies, cups, and even street bumps. The resulting world of little people is utterly charming.

"Everyone must have had similar thoughts at least once," Tanaka writes on his website. "Broccoli and parsley might sometimes look like a forest, or the tree leaves floating on the surface of the water might sometimes look like little boats."

You can follow him on Twitter and Instagram to see the calendar, which was launched in 2011. Tanaka adds, "It would be great if you could use it to add a little enjoyment to your everyday life."
