A couple weeks ago I reported on Umbra, a game that wants to be the unholy demon baby of Skyrim and Diablo. Does it succeed? I got my hands on a demo, so let’s find out.
Today’s Steam Stream might be kind of a short one (I’ve gotta go do Stuff soon), but I’m also gonna try and fit in a little of crashy crash car game BeamNG.drive, asshole cat simulator Catlateral Damage, and spooooooky first-person adventure Homesick.
Tune in below, and feel free to click over to Twitch and join the chat. You’re more than welcome unless you are an asshole or an asshole cat (kidding; cats of all kinds are permitted).
UPDATE: Stream’s over! Had to be a pretty brief one today, unfortunately. Umbra was neat, but it kept crashing (it was an early demo, so it couldn’t be helped), and BeamNG.drive was a fun vehicle sandbox, but it was almost equally early. Hurrah for accidental themes? Watch it all below:

The Steam Stream is a marathon of recently released Steam games that airs every Wednesday afternoon—and sometimes on Fridays apparently. The goal? To help you sift through the ceaseless avalanche that is Steam’s “new releases” section in a quick, easily digestible fashion. If you hate the unbridled havoc of moving pictures and prefer slow, easy-going words, fear not: these games will also get brief write-ups that will explain why you should (or shouldn’t) care about them.
