Earlier this year the Vita got its first free-to-play MMO title in the form of Samurai and Dragons. While the game had a rocky launch that required it to be taken offline for the better part of a month, it is now online and running strong.
Samurai and Dragons presents a strange mix of gameplay. On one side, you take your character and team up with three other players for some co-op dungeon crawling action. On the other, you build your own city like in a 4X (explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate) strategy game. There's even a card-collecting monster mechanic for PVPing.

Samurai and Dragons was released on the PlayStation Vita on March 29, 2012, in Japan. There is currently no word on a Western release.
